Facebook believes about 87 million people had their information compromised to the political research firm, Cambridge Analytica. Starting on Monday, April 9th, Facebook started letting people know if their information was included in the 87 million obtained by Cambridge Analytica. This notification is expected to appear at the top of your newsfeed.

If your data wasn’t stolen by Cambridge Analytica, it will appear like the newsfeed on the left. But if your data was obtained by Cambridge Analytica, it will look like the screen on the right.

 

What If I Haven’t Received A Notification?

If you have yet to receive a notification, you can visit this Facebook help page that will tell you if you or your friends ever logged into the “This Is Your Digital Life” app.

THE HANNON LAW FIRM HAS FILED A LAWSUIT AGAINST FACEBOOK FOR THIS BREACH OF INFORMATION

On April 2, 2018, The Hannon Law Firm, LLC and co-counsel filed suit against Facebook, Cambridge Analytica, SLC Group and Global Science Research seeking relief for all persons who own Facebook accounts in the United States and whose personal information was obtained by Cambridge Analytica, SLC Group, and/or Global Science Research.
